oscar and dovii??

I can't help but wish dovii were not available in the hobby.About 1 in a hundred are given proper care.
Why anybody with half a brain risks putting them with fish like oscars is beyond me.

this is why mine are alone right now.....im still not sure I wan to try them w/ my others and I got some SERIOUSLY SAVAGE fish to add insult to injury - I just doubt they are as savage as a Dovii
I've seen a video of a guy that keeps a huge 18" dovii with red devils and some other south americans (not Oscars) but it's a 600gallon. About the only way I'd even give it a shot is if you had something huge like that.
I think I saw it too.....was it a pair of Dovii and there was also a pair of Midas and the males were liplocking and then the Midas finally figured out the Dovii's mouth was much bigger and he was also more powerful?
Why would someone do that, oscars don't have teeth and no real way to defend themselves, like sending someone to a knife fight with a rubber chicken.
