Hi ya, I have recently upgraded my 2 Oscars to a 120 gal running two emporer 400 filters. I wanted to add a ouple of fish with them so I picked up 2 red tail tinfoils and 2 Black banded leporinus. The oscars are doing great with them no probs. I decided to add one more larger fish so I saw a 5-6" Red belly pacu and thought it looked great. My question is is this too much for a 120gal? oscars are 7" & 8". :screwy:

pretty overstocked bro

Hell yes it's too much! I have a 120 with 2 oscars and 2 pacu and it's like a bad dream. Do a search of my user name if you like. I have several threads about the very same issue.
Just my two cents on my experience on exactly what you are talking about doing! Pacu aren't good for any tank unless your rich and can afford a 10,000 gallon or something outrageous.

LET'S NOT FLAME HERE.....

I don't see any flames? He's asking for advice. So far we have given it to him. Unless your talking about future posts. If so then my bad.

just a single pacu will make your tankWAY overstocked, even if you were to have no other fish.

please dont add a pacu to that tank-pacu's need really huge tanks because they get so massive, and yours is too small. your tank seems to be stocked right just as it is.. i wouldnt add anymore to it. keep in mind your oscars still have about 6 more inches to grow..
