Why would he get a 300 gallon for 2 oscars and a couple plecos?

It's actually 2 O's and 2 plecos, so they would need at the very least 125 gallons.

+1....... having only a 4' length would probably cause territorial issues between both the plecos and the oscars.

125 min but personally I'd go 180 6' x 2'x 2' the extra few inches width is nice for fish that can get 16"+ range. the few extra gallons is also nice because all of the fish are heavy poopers.

i rehomed the common so just the 2 os and one royal. That wont work in the 125?

1 pleco 2 oscars should work in a 125.

Planet catfish says L190 royal only grow to 14 inches in aquariums. I guess time will tell
