oscar behavior

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah I'm for sure getting a 210, or something around that size maybe a 200, maybe something slightly bigger.

Yeah now that I think about it, the other two oscars in the tank were staying away from this one and huddeled together, I should have realized he was an aggresive mofo, oh well hopefully I don't screw up next time lol

Ya just keep tryin cuz you will be happy once you get a good one. they are cool fish.

I'm not setting a tank up, I've had mine running for over a year and excluding a bacterial infection 7 months ago that killed most of my fish, the black neon tetra is the only fish I've lost in 10 months.

It's not natural for a predator to prey on fish twice its size, which is what this oscar is doing

Wait how bigs the oscar and how big are the balas. And im not saying set up a twenty gallon but just have a tank with no filter lights or anything just the tank, for emergencies

Oscar is like 2 inches

2 Bala's are around 5 inches
1 Bala is around 4 inches

I may get a smaller tank soon.

Are you getting the emergency tank or setting up a smaller tank?

I have all the parts to a 10 g in my house so I'm gonna look for them this week. So I plan on trying to set one up probably next weekend.

and BTW the oscars gone, all is at peace in my tank now

By any chance is the Oscar you have an albino tiger oscar? I used have one that was really aggressive towards its tank mates but then again it was full grown to begin with.

Naw it was a regular red oscar and its back at the store. I guess I basically rented a fish for 3 days so I could fatten and color it up
