Yep Oscars are definitely cool but can have very different personalities as mentioned. I have 2 in different tanks (they do NOT get along). One is very mellow and has a small school of silver dollars with him, though he does like to bump my pleco off the glass every once and a while for fun. The other one is a total 180, named Jaws - you can probably guess why, glad they don't have monster sized teeth... would have lost a couple fingers by now during feeding time!

Yeah I'm really hoping I can get a mellow one. I think I may try my luck again later this week, but I'm gonna observe the fish for a while before I buy it.
