Oscar behaviour

Hi everyone can anyone explain what and my Oscar is doing this?

Won’t let me add a video! Basically mouthing at the glass thrashing about on its side! Only started doing it yesterday!

He’s either telling you to go away or it sees its reflection and is now telling it to go away. Turning off the light above the tank will reduce the reflection and it will see you coming from further away

He was doing it when no one was about!

The tank is in the dinning room! I did give the glass a good clean inside and out yesterday! Thanks mate

I'd say it is seeing its own reflection and thinks it is another oscar, mine does this every night when I turn off my room lights and just the tank light is on before it goes to night time mode

ya mine do it prob reflection i know mine sometimes go after smudges on the glass

Just so you know, if you want to upload vids they have to hosted on another site like YouTube, etc and give a like to it in your post. They do pictures hosting for posting here but I would imagine that vid hosting is a whole nother ballgame.

Thanks everyone! I put a chair close to the tank and he stopped! Would this suggest it’s a male Oscar or do females do this too?
