I visited my lfs yesterday and i saw they are selling >>Blueberry oscar and Lemon oscar(i forgot whats the name of it but its color yellow :WHOA: ) well anyway im just wondering willl they have the same coloration when they grow?
 
Well, i would not considering getting one, i bought one about 2 yrs ago, and it doesnt grow! And the color is starting to fade. the upside is i found he is very prone to diseases, dont ask y because i have no idea. My oscar has been in a tank w. the same oscar for 2 yrs or so and the one oscar had a few diseases including hole in the head due to bad tank upkeep:( but the blueberry never aquired any diseases.... just so you know these oscars are injected w. dye so they are not normally like that. i made the mistake of thinking it was a rare oscar!
 
yeah dude, stay away. The closest you'll get to a real "lemon" oscar, is a gold oscar, and you should only get those from reputable dealers.
 
no prob man. Just stick to the tiger oscars. They're my favorite. Or you can check out rapps, because he's got some awesome WILD oscars from venezuela. heres the link just in case http://www.tangledupincichlids.com/. Then just go to stocklist on the top left and scroll down a little :D

yeah dude, gold oscars, heres a pic :D I would personally go for the wilds myself, but these guys look pretty cool to.
 
If you're looking for a new color oscar that isn't dyed, check out the sunshine oscar. Mine are growing like weeds and are very active and healthy. They're a bit more golden yellow in person than you see in this flash pic.

where did you get those bad boys. What new color will they come up with next for oscars :confused: . don't they already have purple oscars. I hear those are incredibly rare though.
