I just use an algae brush every other day for the tank (i miss alot of diatoms, lol). I am hoping to add t grade colorquartz once i get off my butt to get it.

All my tanks are low/mid light, no co2, no ferts at this point.

Awesome! I'm working on trying to grow out a low/mid light planted tank as well. I just added a UV sterilizer that I had lying around to try and help get the bits of algae off of the leaves, so the plants can get more light.
