just had a look at my tank and noticed that one of my albinos oscars eyes seems to be bleeding internally.

I'm no expert but I think salt might help? Or maybe melafix...probably best to do a few smaller (25%) water changes over the next few days after you finish the big one today.
I'm mostly just replying to bump this though, my advice could very well be more harmful than helpful...I don't know.

any pics? did the oscar run into something?
typically most surface wounds on my oscars heal quite quickly on their own but if you think the eye is bad you should probablly seperate it to prevent further aggrivatiosn from other fish.
I don't know if melafix will help with an eye injury but i don't think it will hurt. and your wc should help.

just finished doing a roughly 70% wc.
don't have any photos of the injury, my fish aren't seeming very keen to be photographed at the moment.
not entirely sure how he/she got the injury, seems a bit of a mystery as i don't think he/she ran into anything.
just looks like a bursted blood vessel in the eye (similar to the ones us humans get actually).
he/she seems quite quiet at the moment just sorta chilling at the bottom. the only thing that has me worried is that he/she seems to breathing a bit more heavily than normal. mouth is sort of gasping a bit...
i'd seperate but he's about 6inches and all i've got set up in a 14g which doesn't seem very fair on him.

ok, latest update...
discovered that the agro level between the two has gone a bit over the top so i had no choice to separate the smaller O to the 14g.

oscars can be real nice one day and turn nasty in a instant ,, more likly a fight injury that will heal in time ,

he's in the 14g for now... know its tiny but its better than him being beaten on... thinking of taking one of the two away as the fighting isn't getting better so figure it might just be best.
i'll give his eye some time to recover then make the decision....

Overnight now, found the oscar this morning still sunk at the bottom of the 14g (which is amusing my convicts I must say) breathing still looks quite heavy.
Should I add salt or should I just leave him be?
