I recently acquired 2 baby Oscars. One is a 3.5" albino tiger oscar, and the other is a 2" red oscar. What should I be feeding them, and what should I watch out for? There happens to be a small platy in the tank with them, and neither have tried to eat it, I think they made friends with it, or haven't realized they could swallow it whole yet. Somebody please help.

I've got a tiger oscar and it's been eating cichlid pellets and shrimp. Seems to love both and it's got the biggest appitite that I've ever seen.

Nice i have 4 Oscars fish Oscars to be exact 3 regular black 2 with white spots little white and red spots ekk Lolz you should be feeding them oscar food or hikari sinking wafers there like 5 bucks or 4 but cool

Alright, cool. I'll give the Cichlid pellets a try. Thanks. :)

they would enjoy some worms from your local bait shop from time to time, with the size of your O's you could start them out on wrigglers, as they grow go to earthworms, then watch them chomp down night crawlers!:WHOA: feeding earthworms about two times a week should get your O's looking their best promoting good size, coloration, and health.

cichlid gold to make their color pop out and i feed mine earthworms or shrimp as treats once a weeek.

Make sure you mix up there diet, Meaty pellets and veggie pellets. and a good filter and water changes.

How do I post a picture of my new little buddy on here?

Congrats on your Oscars, they are my favorite.

What size tank are they in if you don't mind me asking?

Just remember these cute little guys will get 12" or bigger each and need a lot of swimming room. Not to mention the bio-load they create.
