I wouldnt be able oscar sex from this video what are you guys basing it on? To the op there def some sort of territory fight going on the reason yiur friend hasnt seen until now is because the oscars must have just now reached sexual maturity the tiger oscar seems to be defending a area preparing a next but regardless who its trying to breed with it will equally chase off the other oscar or jack until hes getting closer to accept and begin the courtship lip locking and dancing. Some male or female fish (ime) will not all their partner anywhere near the next until right before laying.

until the ovipositor is dropped its darn near impossible to sex Os which is why im basing my guess on everyones actions. at 4 yrs they should be more then mature enough to breed. the Jds fins are all pointed not rounded at all, the lack of length to the fins is more genetic then sexual dimorphisim. its been awhile since ive owned/worked with cichlids so i very well could be wrong. But the albino had the reg pinned in the corner, and didnt finish him off. a fish thats decided to take over the tank will simply start killing its tankmates, not just bully them. imo its either preparing to breed, or is simply reaserting its dominance for whatever reason.

imo ide remove the JD and put a divider in to temprarily seperate the Os so the reg can heal. by simply moving the reg O the aggression may turn to the JD.. then itd need to be removed anyways. it will give everyone a time out.. and of the Os are just seperated by a divider if they show spawning behavior you can pull the divider and leave them too it, or at least give the one O time to heal... and the JD being stuck with the albino or the reg in a small space is just a bad idea imo, so removing him is liekly best for everyone at least until things calm down.

this si why i got away from cichlids.. they go buggers at the drop of a hat.

i got better pictures online now and people with out question say i have a male jack so any other explanations. this just started happening when my tiger got around the same size as the albino. I say its territorial these two have lived together for around 3 to four years so maybe the tiger just wants to be top dog, or fish, now.

I raised two little baby oscars together and they were best buds until they hit about 8". The larger one turned on the smaller and would relentless harass him. I had to remove one and I decided to keep the alpha. You definitely shouldn't leave them together. Get a divider in there until things settle down, or just get rid of one of the O's.

The regular Tiger's lip is looking pretty beat up. I don't see this turning out well for him, unless you act quick.
