Oscar fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If you decide not to get large growing or aggressive Cichlids... I have some young Red Head Geos that I'll be ready to move out soon... if interested PM me (or watch the local club forum, where I'll be making them available).

Flamer lives near me :D

well yeah but you got a bigger tank which means more stability so you could have one. they arent saltwater but you can have them that way eventually. they are brackish :)

brackish??? sorry, I'm not really a fish genious :P Actually, not a genious at all...

NO. that tank is way too small for one oscar-and its the wrong footprint (shape) for an oscar.

what i would do, is get a pair of convicts, or i would go with some rockwork and a school of dwarf mbuna (african cichlids) get some yellow labs or rusties in there. or go with saulosis-

or a planted community tank would look really cool too!

either way, you wont be able to go with any really large fish in there. but it can be a really great tank!

half salt half fresh... where a freshwater river runs into the ocean and water mixes

I actually think I want real plants in there instead of a bubbler, but don't I need something else, like a Co2 thingamagiger?

you can make your own... or i could make one for you and send it :) then just get a pump and hook it up. :) pumps arent expensive. just make sure you get one for an aquarium your size... also you will need to get a better light... and those are expensive... good luck! :)
