i know little about flowerhorns but find them tempting. my wife has two oscars and im working on upgrading them to a 75. if i found a FH the same size, would 2 oscars and 1 FH be ok in a 75

Agreed, that tank is full. Get him his own 75. Besides a Fh is much more aggressive that an oscar (or two).

You'll be lucky if the 2 oscars live in the 75. When they get full size a 75 is only good for 1 oscar IMO.

yes oscars get really big

i was at the abilene zoo and they had a 16 in oscar in a juvie gator tank
it would beat them up. the gators were four feet long

why is this in the hybrids section?

Because he's asking about flowerhorn compatibility.

I agree with all of the afore stated opinions. I have seen, but would never recommend, a person keep an oscar pair in a 55g for life and they seemed ok, but I'm sure they would have been much better in a larger tank.

As far as keeping a flowerhorn with an oscar, it would be like keeping a pit bull terrier with a maltese. It may or may not work, but why risk hurting the fish? Odds of successfully keeping these fish together would increase with the size of the tank. For example, housing that group in a 220g would increase the chances of keeping them all healthy and happy.
