i have a red bellied pacu about 14 inch and 4 albino oscars 7 - 10 inch and am pretty much out of food ideass for them :/ i feed them a staple of puppy chow and floating cichlid pellets with the occasional earthworms, peas, corn, a homemade blend of fish, shrimp, lettuce, mango, crab meat and vitamins. lizards, feeder fish , boiled shrimp with vitamins boild fish i really like to try and give the fish a variety anyone has any good ideas??

i would take out the lizards and puppy chow probably. very fattening, not much protein. Other than that though thats a great variety!!! just make sure you feed use the pellets as a staple. out of curiosity, what brand pellet do you use

umm honestly im not sure ( which is probably a bad thing) because i bought 10 lbs of the food in a fish farm in bulk so i dunno but the fish farm supplies the entire carribean with fresh water fish so ....... but i sed to feed them the hikari gold but it 's too expensive

I think just about any pescivorous fish will eat Oscar
you just have to cut it up into bite size pieces

Yeah I would lose the puppy chow as well

It sounds like you have good variety going already.

With a variety as such mentioned, what els??????Mealworms and crickets.........Try a 10g "feeding" station..........Pack the crickets/mealworms with a vitamin dust that is easily pruchased at any local pet store........The vitamin will be devoured by the mealworms/crickets, abling them to be more nutritiuos for the fish.........

Good idea. I would do this, but it will smell and be very loud.

Also, don't feed them puppy chow.
