The ar0wana is not a theat to the pacu
it's the oscars that are a threat to the ar0wana

also don't listen to the nervous nancys
puppy chow is a fantastic supplement
to your already extensively varied
and healthy diet plan

The ar0wana will eat Oscar
you just have to cut it up into bite size pieces

see thats what i thought whats the nutritional value differences between dog chow and floating cichlid pellets ??
and at what size would a currently 6 inch silver arowana not be in danger of 4 albino oscars 8-10 inch and 2 tiger oscars one 14 inch and one 5inch

im a bit scared remember that fish food (floating cichlid pellets) i didn't know the brand of ?? well i noticed it is leaving an oil "slick" on the surface of the water in my fish tank any ideas ?? should this be a concern ?? should i change brands?

the only problem is that i bought 10 pounds of the fish food ://
any ideas

As far as floating pellets Oscars love the cichlid gold by Hikari, and it makes their colors rediculous. Very affordable too. Your fish are getting more variety than most. Mine get tilapia fillet, market shrimp, and Hikari Massivore. Thats it. Hikari also makes a jumbo floating food stick now buts pricey.

i feed mine feeder crickets freeze dried shrimp blood worms earthworms and salamanders i catch in a nearby creek they can also eat small crayfish

as for the silver arowana the RB pacu, FW moray eel, senegal bichir, jellybean convict cichlids is the same staple and treats that i feed the oscars acceptable

arowana should be at least 12" before i would leave it with oscars. arowanas love krill this is also a great treat for oscars and brings out orange and bio gold by hikari with crayfish has left my lemon oscar 3/4 bright orange. and hikari foods are often better then a variety of fatty foods. and also gut loading crickets on carrot

nothing is better than krill feed the oscars krill for 3 months daily and only krill and your fishes color will be unbelievable the oscar I adopted literally doesnt nearly look like the same fish he was almost all black with a little red on his belly now his colors are amazing he's almost all orange a very vibrant orange he has white tips on his fins and very bright orange blotches in his jaw line. I wouldnt feed anything else after seeing what this did for his color.
