I wouldn't be overly concerned yet if it has only been 5/6 days. Heck, my dovii is still shy and I've had it for five or six months. Makes for a very exciting 210 gallon tank.

as fish go, oscars are pretty smart. because of this they get bored easily, try adding some guppies or other tank mates to give them something to do
