If the long chemical names are vitamin complexes and preservatives and Not hormones then it appears that the growth formula is just a well varied diet in a can and I don't see how it could hurt any more than giving several different brands of good quality foods instead of just one, you may be paying a premium price though. If it is growth hormones or steroids it is bad news.

See New Life Spectrum foods. No hormones. Does have garlic though.

Nothing wrong with garlic or premium foods, the extra cost is often worth the convienence.

no it does'nt make it grow faster ! your managuense will be big and bad ass soon enough may be to soon .up grade to a 90gal min if you what this fish for a long time . water changes & varied diet will raise it up right!! mine is 6'' male staring to become a little bit aggresive / 20gal long grow out

To maximize growth without a compromise of quality of life:

1. Water change more often. Every day would not be amiss.

2. Feed a premium food. I feed only New Life Spectrum to all my fish and inverts at home, and 99% of those at the zoo (the other 1% are the shark and large eels; they would need several ounces of pellets for a meal!).

3. Repeat.

Oscar grow is just another name for food as stated. Most of premium food has high protein. There is no friggin growth hormone in that food. New Life Spectrum is great food I'm very pleased with it. Kinda expensive but I feed it to my Frontosa and my Damsel. I feed my Oscar bio-gold by Hikari. I'm very pleased with that as well and is cheaper than NLS.

He was banned once for repeatedly starting inappropriate threads and multipost spamming after several warnings, the "banned" title then shows up on all his past posts.
