Depends on water quality, food, and stress. He is a picture of my albino tiger.

My one Oscar was larger than the albino, but over the years the albino has outgrown the original one.

Mine are over a foot, not measured them so dont know exactly, they are both about 8 years old, I did have another albino that used to lay eggs with the one I hjave left, unfortunately about a year ago he got lumpy and died in a few days, not sure what went wrong, but the albino thats left from the same tank at the LFS is also lumpy if looking from above, but fingers crossed seems fine, must be a defect from breeding.

One thing I have noticed is the albino's get more "albino" as they age, if you notice all the albino oscars before mine have black in the body and/or fins, that grows out when they mature.

Gorgeous photos above!

I notice that my Albino O's also grow amazingly fast... but they also eat like nobody's business :)

I guess it's the same as any animal, they aren't going to grow at the same rate or even get to the same size necessarily.

Absolute brilliance!

When asked about fish that grew up together suggesting that "water quality, food, and stress" are the critical factors obviously isn't the best answer...

Genetics!

beginneralex14 that's a lutino oscar not an albino. the albinos the other mfker's posted show the difference. albinos have red eyes as the main identifier but albinism affect only one type of pigment, while lucistic/luntino affects many.

as for growth rate how much each eats, genetics, exercise etc can affect growth rates.

i was going to say that too but its actually leucistic but i think lutino is another word for it they aren't albino because of the orange on the belly and the black fins i have the exact same kind of fish and the leucistic, which i call whitey, is a little bigger but they are still both very small only 3-4 inches, and the tiger, magma, eats most of the pellets I put in the tank so maybe the leucistic fish are a little bigger or it could just be genetics
