So in the past few weeks I've noticed some crazy growth from this guy, and today while moving the texas (who is going back to the store today) temporarily into a breeder box back into "his" tank, this color change happened.

When I first got him (about a month ago)

looking really good, the red body oscars tend to get green heads as adults instead of the black colour they have when young. i´ll see if I can dig out a pic of mine,

I know its really cool, my guy started just like yours so I figured you might get the same result

Yep, they grow ridiculously fast in the right conditions. I got mine 2 weeks and 2 days ago, and I measured it at 3.5" when I first got it, and it's easily 4" right now.

Sweet, I must say this guy eats like a HORSE, the only time he isn't hungry is when he has so many pellets in his gullet that I can see them backed up to his mouth

I have to be careful not to overfeed mine. He'll beg for more food until he starts to look bloated, and then he keeps putting pellets into his mouth but is too full to swallow them, so he'll just shoot them through his gills. lol

Yeah normally I don't overfeed, but that one time I did. He shot the rest through is gills and the tiger barbs were going nuts getting it all
