Oscar has gone Psycho!

Can't judge pairs by if they fight or not. Some won't fight at all or very little mine fight pretty bad sometimes. They wake me up some nights! Sometimes the fighting gets outta hand n I have to step in n make em stop! If the fighting is always one sided (one is always getting beat up)I'd split em up. Usually its my male being the aggressor but the female does get her licks in. If I hadn't already got them to spawn I would never guess that they were a breeding pair!! Right before they spawned I was about to split them up because of the almost daily fighting.

The fighting between pairs of oscars is natures way of selecting only the strong to spawn the next generation.

Sounds like they're going through the courtship process as they get closer to sexual maturity.OR

No, it's not all one way aggression, the Tiger does a bit of body nudging and doesn't shy away from lip locking with the more aggressive Common O.

If they start beating each other up and one stays away or in a corner then thats a diffent story and agression
My post was suppose to have two sides. Does it make a little more sense now???

mine did the same little bit ago I just threw in some pellets and it broke up the fight:D
