I had a Jaguar cichlid with Ick. I turned the temp to about 83F. Always add tablespoon of salt for 5 gallon. and used some super ick cure. It cleaned up fast. Now it maybe just one of those variable cleared the ick but I wasn't taking any chances.
PS: The super ick cure will stain some items a shade of blue in the tank. It didn't mess anything up in mine but the silicon caulking (I like the new color) and an air bubbler tube.
