Alright as you all know i have 2 oscars. Well i noticed that Castor ( Tiger Oscar) is getting white around his dorsal fin, and also on his side fins, its not ick, and it isnt fuzzy looking like a fungus, so could it be finrot? I dont see how as i am doing the scheduled water changes, once a week, and the Ammonia is measuring at about .25, or second bar on test strip, it says ideal. He eats still and chases Pollux and the sharks around still, just wondering if it is life-threatning to him, couldnt live with out my Oscars, i certainly wont eat live fish!
some tiger's get white on there dorsal but being you said it's on his swimmer's(as I call them) or side fins it my be bacteria are any other fish showing this???( if it were fin rot you mite see that the fins are split or frayed) you may want to up your water change to 35% verse common 25% ''o'' 's are pig's . if you have to medicate the fish monitor your ammonia carefully med;s some time cause an ammonia spike .delt with this many atime in the past... good luck bro

I used Fungus Clear by Jungle, and i was wondering how long to leave out the carbon in my filters? It has been out for about a day so far.

Not sure if you stated how often you are doing the 25% water changes. You should probably up that to 50%. What are you going to do when the Oscars get full size by the way? 55g is not going to be enough.

I know that, i have in the works somewhere between 100-150g tank for my little guys, so dont worry about them. It will suffice for now, until the first of the new year. So no worries mate.
