oscar hybrids?

do oscar hybrids exist?
are there such a things as balloon oscars etc.
someone at a LFS was talking about it.
so yeah, tell me what you know.

I honestly dont believe balloon oscars exist but there is usually always some sort of hybrid but nothign I know first hand

I think they can only breed with fish in there genus. I think there is one other species

I've never heard of Oscars hybridising. I think its like FishFreak95 says.

i breed viel finns/longfins, so their nothing new to me.

The different varieties of Oscar exist through selective breeding. Hybridization may be possible with other Astronotus cichlids, but still I haven't heard of this occurring in the wild or in the aquarium.

well when i had an oscar he tryed fertilizing my jags eggs they all turned white every time
