a baby oscar is good for a thiety gallon but when it gets big then u have to upgrade

I have a 9" Oscar right now...I can tell you that he wouldn't look comfortable in a 30 gallon tank

a 2 inch oscar would last around 6-8 mos in a 30 gallon. But you need to do large regular water changes while its growing as Oscars are a messy fish. They eat a lot and spit a lot of food and they also poop a lot.

Don't be a cheap arse. Spend the extra $100 and get the poor fish a 55g.
