OSCAR IN A 40 GALLON? [PLEASE HELP!]

This thread makes no sense to me. Why would you not just go with a smaller cichlid? Yeah sure, your oscar will survive if you do water changes and have good filtration but why would you not get something that will thrive in the tank you can provide?
