oscar jumped out of tank

They are crazy!!! My Albino is in a 55 gal also but still has plenty of room. Had him in a 47 tall and he would start at the botton, swim as fast as he could and bash his head off the top!!! Mine is a decent size and has plenty of room in the 55 gal. yet he still does this.....
How can a fish that gets over a foot long have plenty of room in a 55 gallon? 55 gallon is not even wide enough for the fish to turn around normally.puffer_girl said:
I said he was a decent size.... Not full grown.... I'm not going to put a 6 inch Oscar in a 100 gal tank by himself. Come on!!! My point was that he also would hit the top of the tank.
oscars dont have to be alone
they arent THAT agressive.....just bullies if they can be. Mine used to think he was king untill he met his match. He is the weakest thing in my tank now lol.....still thinks he's tough though haha

I like mine by himself because he gets picked on by other fish!!! I like harmony which is why my JD is by himself right now and I recently had to let go of my Salvini.... The two severums that I posted pics of yesterday are also by themselves right now. Of coarse, all of the tanks have pleco's but that's it. Thought about getting a BIG tank and trying some of them together but they are so happy now.....rallysman said:oscars dont have to be alone
oscar, must have thought there was some food out there on the floor. mine almost jump out every time i hold my hand over the tank with food in it. if i get within a couple of inches i get nipped by Spike, my biggest red/bronze oscar. gotta luv em...Im trying to get some pics up real soon.
