oscar like fish

Hey guys. I was wondering what kind of freshwater fish are kind of the same as an oscar. I would like to have one be able to jump for food like you can teach oscars to do. Do any of you know of a fish which you can teach to do this, like at a petsmart or petsupplies and what size tank you would need. Im thinking about getting a 70 gallon, found one for a $100 that comes with filters and such. Thanks

Most SA cichlids are pretty personable. You just need a smaller one. If you want a fish with lots of personality, get a single specimen of a Red Devil or something similar.

yea a midas or devil is your best option. My devil rips worm apart when i hand feed him

Tinfoil barbs are great. Mine hand feed...Also try to feed on my hand.

at petsmart the devils and midas's are usually crosses

lol. I just really want an oscar and im sad that I cant get on because I don't have the money for a huge ass tank for it :'(

You COULD keep an oscar in a 70 gallon I think.
