Guys just now I saw my albino Oscars lip ripped
I know it will heal but how long
Will he be able to eat meanwhile?
Any risk of infection?

There are 4 oscars in 100 gal ( 2x copper and 2x albino)Doesn’t look to bad. Was this from lip locking with other fish? I’d try and figure out the problem first and maybe find a solution (remove the aggressive fish, separate the Oscar?) I’m not too familiar with SA cichlid aggression, but if the fighting continues there can be issues down the line. Hopefully others can chime in with experience!
it doesnt look too bad. probably remove 2 oscars that arent paired to reduce the aggression as 4 oscars in a 100g is too smallThere are 4 oscars in 100 gal ( 2x copper and 2x albino)
The coppers have formed a pair and like being bossy
The one which got hurt was not bullied it single handedly fought both of them if they tried to bully him
The other albino is ok but gets bullied
So most probably it is due to lip locking
Yep I'm sure they 2 are bonded pair at night they sleep together and they have take one side of the tank and the one which has its lip ripped has another side the other albino is just roaming and get beated by everyoneYou sure it's a bonded pair? If they do decide to spawns they'll push the other two into the opposite corner unless you have a very large tank. What's your water change schedule like? If the wound hasn't been infected it'll heal fast with clean water.
I would recommend keeping that pair and rehoming the rest. How cool would it be to have a 100 gallon Oscar breeding tank! You can add the tank with some bottom dwellers and less aggressive species and that would be an amazing tank to watch!Yep I'm sure they 2 are bonded pair at night they sleep together and they have take one side of the tank and the one which has its lip ripped has another side the other albino is just roaming and get beated by everyone
The pair also tries to move rocks and uproots some artificial grass
