OSCAR OMG FAST!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If you like the fish get them, if not don't.

But IMO an aro is way better than an oscar anyday. They are peaceful and graceful and they keep all their food in their mouth when fed. It ins't all ground up and half of it spit out their gills like an oscar does.

Also if you do end up with 8 oscars you better have a really good filtration system/systems cause oscars are really messy fish.

7 oscars is alot if theyre really that cool get 2 or 3.that would be cool in a big aro tank.
btw if you throw baby oscars in with your bigger one hes gonna think its dinnertime

Nah my bigger oscar is a lil wuss there 3 large feeders and 4 small silver dollars in there and hes to slow to catch them makes me laugh..

but im gona buy like 3 of them and get a baby arow

and about the filteration thing

My tank has 2x 140 gal filters and my tank is a 120 gallon.. its just untill they grow than their going into a 240 gallon..

but my 120 is extra wide :grinno:

Also i know there are more than red albino and tiger. theres also wild and yellow and then you have the saltwater oscar wich are A actual monster fish..

but like i said im only gona have like 3 oscars..

i just bought an oscar and i really like it. i dunno im a big fan of oscars but i dont care much for aros
strictly out of curiosity, have you ever owned a large arowana?

no i havent. i have alot of friends that enjoy them but whenever i have seen them i just think that they are kinda boring. i think that they are too passive for me. my oscar is really aggressive and i like aggressive fish. ill give you that oscars are really messy but i have a good filter. its just a personal opinion though

A saltwater oscar???? WTF???? Never heard of that one. I happen to be a big oscar fan, but would also love to have an aro. Also. those "amazing" looking baby oscars are gonna change as the get older. They still be a red/tiger/lutino, but the tones and such will change.

My lfs is selling 10 babie tiger oscars with AMAZING COLOR for very very cheap

They will not hold those same colors for very long. in fact when they grow out there will be a big difference. But if you got tank space i would get about 5 of em , and hope you get at least one pair.

I'd like to see your oscar:) I've never seen a really agressive oscar.

Depends on what he means by aggressive. If hes talking about threatening you thru the glass, jumping a foot out of the tank to grab a shrimp, biting you when your cleaning his tank yes oscars are pretty aggressive. But in terms of winning a fight against a jag or something like that not so much.
