oscar & peacock

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
oscars and pbass could go together, just make sure the oscar has some size on it so that the peacocks don't just gobble it up

i have 2 peacocks and a oscar together and they are just fine. Oscars and peacocks are similar to eachother well thats what people say anyways.. But mine have been together for about a year now and ido not have anyproblems

the oscar will eat them if there too small, you would want to get them the same size or close to before introducing them, and secondly how big is the tank they will be in, that can play a huge roll in whether or not they will get along, or be healthy.

we got a 3ft atm , buying a 6ft this wknd

the oscar is the most docile fish i have ever seen
the only time he would do anything is when you put feeder fish in it
and he will like wake up and speed to em but then when he eats them he goes back to his docile state but yer i i fed him a pallet once nd i was jus about to drop it and he jump out of the water and gobbled it out of my fingers XD scare the crap outa me

he is my dad fish but yer i look after it because he jus likes to stare at it
(lazy a**H****)

i woud get pics but i cnt find the cord to me camera now ughh
this fish woudnt hurt another fish ( not till it gets way bigger lol )and more hungrier

how big are the peacock bass you wanted to get?? i wouldnt mix them with your 7-8" oscar unless they were simillar size.. however when they are together the mix works well...

ther 3 " my black one picks on all the fishes in my dads tank but he only does it when the fish goes near his rock... he takes on the oscar when the oscar has a look at his rock lol
we have two convicts in teh tank to with oscar and a peacock and two sharks and teh only problem in the tank is the blak peacock he body is an odd shape but
dad put my fish in with my brother in laws saratoga they get a long fine the saratoga is 8" long hes so scared of everything he eats anything yu put in the tank except my black peacock

thats is some mix of tank :D is your saratoga a jardini or leichardti?? if its a Jar, you may wanna watch him closely, they dont have the best reputations in regards to being a community fish..
