Oscars do it all the time when they get bigger. When they start to hit 8 or 9 inches you might have to separate them or they could possibly kill each other.. Oscars can be completely docile or completely insane and murderous. depends on the fish.
i would say lip locking mine has a funny lower jaw looks like it was broken and healed funny he is lip locking with my other oscar that is a couple inches bigger im pretty sure thats how it happend it has been like that for months doesnt seem to bother him
