i had the same problem. so i had a 10 gallon tank and quarantined him for about 1 week or so. used rid-ich medicine. and did water changes everyday. but not huge water changes. just enough to take the waste and just a little bit of water. followed the instructions from the meds and he was cured. hope this helps

It is better to do huge water changes when your fish are sick. it might help knock out the parasite.
