50 ppm isn't bad. It isn't pristine but nothing to cry about, unless you are anal like most of us here.

for me oscars always have to be the biggest to be happy and plenty of water changes, i always prepare my water first in a 55gal for acouple days (declor,temp,airate) then add it to tank i'm changing
