Because I have a 3rd oscar coming to live here soon, I'm going to put all of their updates and progess in this one thread from now on. Two of them are rehabilitated owner surrendered animals.
Lazarus (Laz) currently 9.5in
Scrappy (d!ck face) currently 2in
And
Jexnell
's Toni 11in. I dont have my own pic of her just yet. Coming this Thursday.
So what am I going to do with these guys? Well short term plan is after quarentine and a cautious introduction, Toni and Laz are going to share a 200g
Until next summer. Around early June I am going to put them outside in one of the ponds. When they go out I'm going to start a 400g tank build. I have most of my materials gathered for it. Just a few more odds and ends to gather.
I'm going to leave Scrappy in the 55 until he hits 4-5in (another 8-10wks). After that he's going into a 150 that is plumbed into my AWC system. We will let him grow out for a while and catch up to the two gorillas. I'm hoping that by the time Toni amd Laz are going into the finished 400 at the end of next summer, Scrappy will be big enough to join them.
So all in just one thread, that's where we're at! As always I love to hear any suggestions for improving methods of care and any little nuggets of wisdom you all have.
Thanks for reading and keep watching for other updates if interested.
