How many different types are there? I know albino red and tiger, regular red and tiger, i know wild is just greenish being they are not bred for color.

Reason for asking is today i seen tiger oscar juvinile tigers around 3 inches at the lfs and they had no red. They looked black or dark greed with white where you would normaly have red. Have not seen this before.

Anything like this? 2017-02-13-00-49-42-1068760342.jpg

Nope. There is orange on yours. The ones i seen looked like marble. Juvi tiger oscars usualy just have a tiny spot here and there like yours. There was a whole lot more striping too. Just like cracked marble. Ive had oscars before and always look for them in stores just to see. Their traits are very distinct and easy to tell so i know they are oscars.

Maybe ill take a pic today. Its very hard to describe. It could just be the normal tiger but like i said never seen them look as they do.

All tiger oscar start off grey like your talking. Usually around like 1/2"-3/4" they start changing into orange/black. Heres a couple pics

Ok. The top one is like what i saw but its weird that they were like 2 1/2 inches in length and still no orange. Just wondering. Never seen them like that before because stores almost always carry 2 inch or more. Just thought that maybe it was like some sort of cross breed whatever.

Thanks for your responses on a silly question. I suppose they do change color due to their mood and how they feel. Could have been stress or whatever too or lack of nutrition and good water or something.
