Mine broke a thermometer too. I saw him do it. It was a little scary to see him spitting out glass though.

Last week I was late with a feeding and was pouring a few pellets in the tank. My O jumped up grabed the bang and tried to pull it in. Surprised the hell out of me.

I feed my oscars (Frick and Frack) pretty much whatever they'll eat. Mealworms, silversides, mysis, rosys, guppies, goldfish, etc. Their main diet is hikari cichlid gold pellets tho. So when they see my hand coming to open their tank, the albino (Frick) waits with his mouth open at the top of the water for me to drop the food in his mouth. The other is a jumper. They are so funny and they're only about 6 inches long right now. I can't wait till they get big and see what they do then!

Mine jammed himself under a plastic fake driftwood thing. He was way too big and I couldn't find him and then I saw the driftwood and he was lying sideways under it trying to hide. My nicaraguense was just looking at him like wtf?

It was one of those root decorations that he could maybe fit under if he was 3 inches, but he was about 7 or 8.

He spits rocks at people at night and early in the morning, but my huge flowerhorn is much more owner responsive than him. His tank is just full of toys (sponges, wood, pvc pipe, and air stone bars).
