so, im keeping one adult oscar in a 75 right now, i know thats minimum tank size but was just wondering on opinions of adding a tankmate, maybe something for the top area if possible, what are opinions on tankmates for an oscar in a 75. anyway, opinions greatlly appreciated. its got massive filtration, 15x per hour thru foam blocks and 3 liters of eiham substrat pro

BICHIR!!!!!

hes around 10 of 11 inches

You can put about anything you want in there that wont fit in his mouth, depending on his temperment. What did you have in mind? All kinds of options out there.

I think a catfish of some sort would be best. At 75gal you have enough for your Oscar to be happy, but don't forget Oscars are really messy eaters... thus a bottom dweller would probably be best. Plecos are cool... but I'm not going to recommend one, as my Oscar pulled the fins off my Blue Phantom Pleco and beat it to death. Also, Oscars being territorial, means any other territorial fish would be a bad idea. Bottom dwellers need dark places to hide to be comfortable, and it gives them a break from your Oscar if it likes to Bully other fish all day long.

my oscar is very peaceful for an oscar, im thinking Bichir, but i thought id run this by you guys, i doubt it would work in a 75 but cant hurt to ask opinions, i have an as yet unidentified (ive gotton so many different answers as to an ID) pike cichlid, thats about 7 inches long, probablly too much for a 75, but, does anyone disagree, could i put the pike in there, they used to be tankmates in a 125 but, anyway, think that would work???
