...i have an as yet unidentified pike cichlid, thats about 7 inches long, probablly too much for a 75, but, does anyone disagree, could i put the pike in there, they used to be tankmates in a 125 but, anyway, think that would work???

I still think any other non-bottom dweller in a 75 with an Oscar would be too much. Peaceful or not. Bichirs are pretty darn cool btw.

Bichir I'd say definitly not a sen as you need a larger growing species I definitly revomend polypterus endlicheri congicus Aja congicus bichir

Food for when the O gets big? :grinno:

Silver dollars, headstanders, pink tailed chalceus and most plecos are large enough not to be eaten and not usually viewed as a threat by the O being non-cichilds. They might get chased a little, but it shouldn't be bad.

thanks for the advice everybody, i think im gonna go Bichir shopping tomorrow and see what i can find

What about the pictus I gave you? It was all over the tank and I'm sure could handle your oscar/cleanup. If you don't go that route, FYI the wet spot has 4" chalceus and family pet on Halsey has ornates around 8" if I recall correctly. Not my style for a 75 but hope that helps.

my 75 consists of a tiger oscar around the same size as yours with 3 silver dollars around 5-6" and a pleco that right now is around 5" and they all get along fine. i am actually growing out 3 more silver dollars to add to the madness hehe
