Oscar tankmates?

I am currently growing 3 Oscars in my 85 gallon tank. Once I decide the one I like best, the tank will be his until he's too big. They're still only 2-2.5 inches long. Maybe 3. I would like to have something other than just an oscar. It could be something really small, many things really small, something larger. I don't really care what it is. Any ideas? I like pretty much all fish so it makes it hard to decide. Any ideas? Preferably something unordinary and cool. But really any ideas are good for the table. Once I need to I will be upgrading my tank so don't start lecturing about me being irresponsible as a fish owner. Any ideas?

Chocolate cichlid are good. Red bay snooks are very beautiful under appreciate cichlids that get bid but are not bullys. Mine do very well with my oscar.

I'd be careful about adding any other cichlids young oscars get bullied so easily it's ridiculous. You could maybe try a firemouth or some sev but be very watchful

It could work but I'd worry about the Oscars out competing it or beating on it in that case.ebjd are fragile for a cichlid
