Hi guys, I currently have a 10 inch + Oscar in a 55 by himself getting upgraded to a 160, have been struggling to come up with good ideas as far as some new tankmates for him go, so far the only new fish I have bought was a Black Ghost Knife who's in a 33 growout. Any suggestions for other tankmates would be well appreciated.
Cheers :)

The Oscar may or may not except tankmates since its been living alone and mature. The Black Ghost must be the appropriate size or it may be very risky to try them together. Also Ghost Knife will feel more secure with a place to retreat to such as driftwood or pvc pipe.

The plan is to have lots of caves and hiding places for the fish and to wait until the Black Ghost Knife is around maybe 8-10 inches.

Many people use geographically correct, Silver Dollar tetras, too large to swallow, end not considered as competitors by oscars (such as many cichlids would be).
Silver Dollars would be cool in the tank, how many would you recomend?

How bout a big pleco? If u are planning to set up hiding spots this would be perfect
I have a Bristlenose Pleco thats around 5 inches in the 33, but i've read online that they don't do well with Oscars.
