Oscar tanmates????

whats up everybody..i have a 75 gallon tank and thinking about getting a tiger oscar, i need to know a few medium sized cichlids that would be good with the oscar, also good filtration that would work too...any sugg:1zhelp: estions recommended.
 
Just about ANYTHING will work - even larger barbs, danios, etc... each oscar is different - some oscars will just go psycho, but this is not usual.
 
With an oscar in a 75 I am sure you can fit in a couple others as long as WCs are very frequent. For filtration I would go two canisters for a large dio-load like you are planning or you can go for a 30-40 gallon wet/dry, which will increase your bio-load options. As far as the Canisters go with 2 Eheim 2215's they aren't really expensive and are fantasic filters. Ultimately it ends up with budget though. What ever you are willing to pay for filtration is up to you. I am a filtration addict so I spend lots of money on filters lol. Now back to fish I say a couple FM's or maybe 2 salvinis. Really any Thorichthys cichlid will do for tankmates.

i would suggest if you get two, do two AC110 and a little xp1
that should be good
 
A convict and oscar, or JD and oscar, or Araipima and oscar, just kidding. JD would add lots of colour, convict will add, err not much. But make sure the oscar cannot eat it. How big is the oscar that your thinking of buying?
