Fish don't need toys..A bored fish can be destructive and thats because his living in an enviroment that's is not adequate for him. It could be the lack of other fish, proper gravel, wood, leaves, rocks, whatever...A ping pong ball is not natural and a fish is not like like a dog that can recognize the ball as toy and might see it as a threat making him even more stressed or nervous. Donesn't make any sense to me giving toys to a fish to play with...

thanks everyone..i decided to keep the tank bottom bare but can i use undergravel filters in this situation?

and i'll have artificial rock.
and driftwood(maybe) and probably plastic plants.

i like the pingpong ball idea so i'll keep it infront of his tank for them to get used to it then after a few weeks i'll try putting it in the tank.

I hear that undergravel filters aren't good fiters for cichlids especially Oscars because they are messy eaters and poopers, but wait to see what more experience members say
