Right now when my Oscar is hungry or see's me walk past the tank he goes to his one spot for food. I have gotten him to take Earthworms from my hand. I also cannot drop a algae wafer in the water cuz he is like a dog with a new bone he takes it and plays with it and swims around the tank with it so the other fish won't get it. He teases the other fish too he will drop it every so often watches them eat on it then goes and gets it swims around with it in his mouth and drops it again.

A friend of mine had an oscar that would play catch with a ping pong ball.He'd through it in the tank the Oscar would knock it out again!Kept them both happy for hours apparently.

mine would jump up for food when i held it above the water... then one morning he was dead on the floor... a tight lid is very important. it was the nicest looking oscar i've ever seen, i was pissed...
there's an article about training fish in an AFM article! the guys did it with goldfish and other fish! they taught one goldfish how to pick up a soccer ball and put it in a net! and how to got hrough rings! they did also train an oscar or 2!
they would have this lil wand and blow food in to the water when the fish approaches what ver you want it to do! and you slowly get pickier and pickier until it has to go through the hoop to get the food!

my old oscar was to smart he would take the ball and swim down and spit it into a cave so it would get stuck and i would have to reach in and grab it
