Apart from 'because you say so' do you have anything backing up the claim that it's nonsense?

Freak incidences happen, just because its not a normal occurence doesnt mean it couldnt happen. Therefore study of that incidence is very hard. I doubt you could get much more into it then they did in the show haha. If something is starving, that ups the ante on it doing something out-of-the-ordinary. No matter what specie. Is the first thought in your head when your hungry "oh my cat looks pretty tasty"? No, but if you and your family were starving for some reason that is a real issue.

the argument or debate can go on for ever, far as i know there is no medical documentation of a guy getting his nuts crushed by a pacu, or some one peeing in the water and having a fish follow the alkaline trail into there urethra.

does make for good internet fodder.

There are documented cases of candiru entering the urethra of humans. Local tribes also have a 'cure' for it. Why have a cure for a myth? The reason it happens is scientifically based. Physically its possible. Why the doubt? Not saying it happens every day, but still... As to the nut crunching, that's totally plausible.

Edit: I should say documented case and eyewitness accounts from doctors.

That's totally different. Whether what they believe will cure this or that is nonsense is irrelevant. For them to come up with a cure, superstitious or not, there HAS to be something to remedy in the first place.
