I voted RD/Midas but if I could do over I'd vote other (Trimac). Didn't even realize I had that option d'oh. I'll tell you why...I love oscars, always have, and I've pretty much always had one. But the beauty of oscars is you can keep them with lots of different tankmates whereas with a RD/Midas you might be "forced" to keep it as a single wetpet because it kills everything. So basically while I love O's I'd rather have a big O in a really big tank with some other moderate-tempered cichlids in a community and save my wetpet tank for the badass that I can't keep with anybody else.

Thanks guys! I have been pondering (if I can find/make the space) setting up my empty 55 to get a "Wet pet." I would shuffle fish as the O/ RD got bigger of course. 
dude i voted sumthin else cuz im growin out 2 jag's and a normal oscar on the fins patterns are amazing and when hes really happy when im feeding them he shows his tigers stripes and when hes just chillin he shows just 3 or 4 orange/white blotchs in a cross like the intersections of the tiger stripes but hes a beaut. but my jags on the other hand i love way more and are way more personable towards you the oscar is more shy so i figure just one big jag would be a wonderful pet and some bottom cories or sumthin would work if u grow them up together hell just push em around and chase em as dithers. but definatly id say jag all the way cuz when they get big they beautfiul and mine are only 4" and are so much more eye catching and less shy than my 5" normal oscar

as a wet pet id go with the rd, if i wanted to put others in the tank then an oscar. decisions decisions its a hard one. i have both so i guess i cant make up my mind.
