oscar with large black spot on tail fin

not in person. like i said, it looks almost like one of those bread mold spots. it looks eaten away [curves in slightly or something], and is a different color from the rest of him. it's much darker and slightly blue-green.
 
Imo any ammonia is to much, try a water change and see what happends, i dont know if they heal from ammonia burns, then again it might not be burns lol
 
okay, thank you. i'll do some more water changes, and keep an eye on him. the temp and salt was already up because one of my puffers had a tiny amount of fungus on his eye, and he's in a seperate tank for treatment but i treated the main tank to be sure. it doesn't seem to look like the pictures of ammonia burn that i've been able to find [the pics i find tend to be red rather than black], but for now i guess that's what i'll go with. thank you for the help. and if anyone else has any other opinions on how to treat it or if you think it could be something else, feel free to say something. i'd like to know all of the possibilities
