Never moving away from sand, looks to good. That and I love Eartheaters anyway.
Guarantee you won't have a problem. If you've got good water circulation you'll find sand will work better as the feces will sit on the surface and eventually be sucked up. If you're using HOB's or a powerhead be sure to make the intakes as high as possible though, as sand and impellers don't like each other.
