I bought an oscar two weeks ago he was pretty injured he is blimd from one eye and he was missing alot of scales and fins all torn up well his fins are now perfect and he swims around hes still blind from one eye tho but he would eat in the hospital tank but only once the food hit the bottom of the tank now hes in the main tank food doesnt get the chance to git the bottom so will he start to eat from the top? I tried sinking pellets no luck also hes 3 inches lomg how old do you think he is? And how long before he reaches 5-6 inches

Good that you rescued the poor Oscar. Are there any other fish in the aquarium ?
In terms of age its a difficult task. By just liking at the szie its diffukt to tell age.

No this is my only tank i have a ten gallon but thats too small for him i made sure theres a bunch of hiding spots for him but he prefers swimming in my bubble currtain :) he loves it and at night he sleeps in this very thick plant hes very active but will not eat

It's a bad habit to form but if he's not scared of your hand in the tank, try and feeding blood worm cube. Have trouble with my ebjd and this is the way I know for sure I can get him to eat.

Hes not scared of my hand so i will try this tomorrow thank you

Give him time... his appetite will either take off or not. I've experienced a failure to thrive with Oscars before. I call it that because my lfs told me that all but 2 of that batch of Oscars had died... bad genetics or something.
I guess the real question is how long has he been in there? Oscars tend to sulk for a couple of days after a transfer in my experience
