and for carbon filtration, do i just cut a hole in the filter and take out the carbon pebbles? or what does it mean by remove activated carbon?Yeah both of those treat parasites so they will work, however I've never used either of them so I cannot attest to their quality.
Yes you need to take out the carbon as it will neutralize the meds. If you need to like you say break open a hole to get it out then so be it. I presume we are talking about the premade cartridges some filters use.and for carbon filtration, do i just cut a hole in the filter and take out the carbon pebbles? or what does it mean by remove activated carbon?

lol i breed guppies but i never thought for him alright i will do soWater changes are the best cure for any disease. Sometimes you need medication, but often water changes will cure most problems. I see a lot of fish die because their owners are constantly adding medication when a water change would suffice. In this case, I would reccomend some medications, but if you want your fish to recover quickly, do a water change before each dosage of medication. As for its food, feeder fish fromt the pet stores are just empty carbs that will lead to bloat. If you can't get the fish of live foods and on to pellets, it might be a good investment to buy another tank and fill it with some live bearers. They fish grow and breed like crazy and you'll soon have a stable, healthy food source. Best of luck!
