I can't make up my mind on putting an Oscar in my tank. I've had them before and love they're personalities, even though they can be wimps at times. I would be adding him to a established tank(120g) with other CA and SA cichlids of 2 - 3" sizes. They're a robust group so I would add an Oscar at a little larger size, about 3 -4". Just can't make up my mind if the added bioload is worth it. Yeh or neh?

It really depends on what other fish you have in there already. Are they going to get really large? Are they slow growing species? Are they really aggressive?

Yeah, I understand that. There is one managuense, firemouth, salvini, chacolate,jd,gt,nicaraguensis. It all depends on how everyone decides to get along. I know its pushing it for stocking, but I have other tanks available for the not so tough crowd to retreat to. Its just I feel almost not right about having large fish without having an Oscar, ya know?

quite alot of cichlids already,,,as ive done similar and now i have only 2oscars and 1jag left with dither fish...
vieja biff---pure evil in my tank she killed a severum/green terror/and mutilated a jack dempsey them beat the cr@# out of my two oscars,,so i would be warey mate,,,from my exsperience

realistically id say no because 120 isnta great deal of space 4x2x2 to be shared between 5 fish which have potential to get 10" easily not mentioning the other 3 smaller, i personally think that it wouldnt work in the long run there would likely be aggression issue's with the GT, JD, Jag and sal maybe its up to u tho just dont be supprised to be loosing fish along the way it could work for a while up until they all start getting to 6"+

Well the tank is 5'x1.5'x2', but I get your meaning. Goes with the territory.

Yeah, thats part of the fun. How big are they?

that jag will most likely have to be removed before long or all the others will have to be removed. I had a jag with several others in a 125 (6' x 1.5' x 22") for quite a while but once the jag hit 6" or so it was all overwith and the jag took over the entire tank. and I think mine was female so if you wind up with a male it'll be even worse.
